Step 1.
Purchase Request

The initial step for the buyer is to submit a purchase request on the listings page by registering as a buyer. Upon receiving the request, Waveride Motors will reach out to the seller for their approval.

Step 2.
Payment

When the seller approves the purchase request, we will send the buyer an email containing an invoice along with detailed instructions on how to proceed with the payment.

Step 3.
Shipping

After payment has been confirmed, we will begin shipping within one business day and will notify the buyer via email. Delivery typically takes between 3 and 7 business days, depending on the distance. All items are covered by insurance against damage, loss, theft, and other issues.

Step 4.
Delivery & Inspection

Our technical inspector conducts a pre-delivery inspection and prepares a comprehensive report on the item's condition. After the item has been delivered, the buyer reviews the inspection report and retains it for the duration of the 14-day return period in case they decide to return the item.

Our Inspect+ program provides a detailed verification of the item’s condition before our consignment service accepts it. We create a point-based, comprehensive report that covers the vehicle's physical condition, quality, history, and other factors. The inspection ensures that the item meets our high standards. If the item doesn’t pass our Inspect+, it won’t be listed for sale. Rejected vehicles typically include those with irreparable damage, items that don’t meet state regulations, and those that fail a regular inspection.

Vehicles, cars, boats, RVs, travel trailers, ATVs, and motorcycles undergo background checks, including history reports and ownership status verification.

Item titles must be clear to be listed for sale. If the title includes any liens, they must be fully paid off before the item can be listed for sale on Waveride Motors, regardless of whether an individual or finance company holes them.

Items with salvage titles will fail our InspectPlus check and will not be listed for sale on our site. We don’t accept items with salvage titles due to the varying regulations in different states and the higher likelihood that the buyer will return the item. We prioritize customer satisfaction and quality, so we have strict standards for the items we accept for sale.

We provide assistance with advertising and financing for our sellers and buyers. We also take care of storage for cars, trucks, RVs, and boats. After the sale, we provide shipping to the buyer. Our goal is to make the transaction simple and stress-free.

FAQs

Your payment will be retained by Waveride Motors until the item is delivered and you are fully satisfied with its quality. The seller will only receive payment once you confirm that the item has arrived in good condition.

If we do not receive a response from you within 14 days after delivery, we will assume that you are satisfied with the quality, size, physical condition, and specifications of the item, and we will release the payment to the seller.

If you are dissatisfied with the delivered item and notify Waveride Motors within 14 days of receipt, we will address your complaint in full within 72 hours of it being raised.

If Waveride Motors cannot resolve the issue within 72 hours, we will automatically refund the amount paid for the item. Please note that during delivery, you will undergo a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) to give you an overview of the item's condition. You must retain the PDI report until the 14-Day Money Back Guarantee expires, as it will be needed if a return is necessary. When a complaint is filed regarding a delivered item, the seller will only be paid after the issue is resolved and you are satisfied with the outcome.

  • You have made a payment for an item but have not received it.
  • You have received an item that is damaged, defective, or does not meet the quality, size, physical condition, and specifications of your original order.
  • You have received an item that you are unhappy with due to its fit or size.

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method employed during the purchase. Processing refunds typically takes 5 to 7 business days.
